Using, as his starting point, the Buddha’s Enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree, he explores the idea of gratitude as an important quality for the Buddhist to develop. In doing so he considers the three traditional recipients of gratitude, namely parents, teachers and spiritual friends, and then concludes by listing four possible reasons for ingratitude.
