A tradition starts with a history and fortunately, much of Triratna's history was captured on video.

This talk was given to the Berlin Triratna (FWBO) sangha in 1999. Sangharakshita recounts a particular spectacular miracle performed by the Buddha known as the 'yamaka pātihāriya', after which the Buddha went on to explain what is actually the greatest of all miracles. A consideration of the nature of Buddhism and a Buddha leads Sangharakshita on to the themes of personal effort, craving, shraddha, fear and heroism. He offers strong encouragement to have faith in one's practice and realise one's own personal miracle.
The talk has English subtitles and is interpreted in German by Anomarati.
